Delicious warm flavors of vanilla, toast, stone fruit, pineapple, citrus, Granny Smith apple and red apple combine with hints of nutmeg and smoke. Each bottle of wine delivers exotic aromas of sandalwood and cardamom with toasted bread, orange zest, green apple, nougat, stone fruit, and minerals, with savory notes of smoke, lush cream and lovely tropical fruit. This California white wine begins with chardonnay grapes from the Goldfields Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. The grapes ferment in barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation, adding richness and creaminess. Aged in French oak barrels for 11 months, this chardonnay wine offers mouthwatering acidity, good structure and a lingering finish with notes of sweet tropical fruit and grilled pineapple, making it the silver medalist at the 2018 Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge.
