For great tasting whole grain tacos--what you will need: 1 pound ground beef or boneless chicken breasts, 1 package ortega whole grain corn taco shells (included), 1 package ortega taco seasoning mix (included), 1 package ortega taco sauce (included), 3/4 cup water. Toppings: ortega diced green chiles, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese and black olives. Brown ground beef or chicken breasts*; drain. Add 3/4 cup water and taco seasoning mix. Heat until thickened, stirring often. Remove taco shells from plastic container. Bake shells in preheated 350 f oven 3 to 4 min. Or microwave on high 20 to 30 seconds. Fill taco shells with meat or chicken mixture and top with taco sauce and other toppings. Enjoy! *For boneless chicken breasts, cut up into strips and cook until no longer pink.
Store unused taco shells in airtight plastic bag or container. Do not prepare taco shells in toaster oven.
