Introducing New Food: Although it is very likely that your guinea pig will start eating Encore Premium right away we recommend that a three week food transition period be practiced for optimum results. Week 1: Mix 1/4 of the Encore Premium food to 3/4 of the current food and repeat daily for one week. Week 2: Mix 1/2 of the Encore Premium food with 1/2 of the current food and repeat daily for one week. Week 3: Mix 3/4 of the Encore Premium food with 1/4 of the current food and repeat daily for one week. Week 4: The transition is complete and you can supply only Encore Premium to your guinea pig as their main diet. For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry area before and after opening. Refrigerate for extended storage.
