3 l premium wine cask equal to four 750 ml bottles. Al Capone. Bootleggers series. 1920. Inmate. Criminal Bureau. When I sell liquor it's called bootlegging. When my patrons serve it on lake shore drive it's called hospitality. - Al Capone. Notes: So dark, so delicious, so dangerous - Big House Prohibition Red showcases notes of blackberries and raspberries, with hints of leather and spices. The palate is clean, exhibiting flavors of cranberries, roses and a touch of rhubarb. This finish lingers, leaving you with flavors of vanilla and dark cherries. Our Prohibition Red walks the line between soft & smooth and bold & vicious; it's as infamous as Al Capone himself. Big House Wines are inspired by the bootleggers who helped bring prohibition to an end and paid their dues in the big house. Established in 1990 in Monterey County California, Big House Wine Co. received its namesake due to the close proximity to the Soledad correctional facility, a.k.a. the big house. Name: Alphonse Al Capone. Nickname: Scarface. DOB: 01-17-1899. DOD: 01-25-1947. One of America's most notorious gangsters, Al Capone ran an organized crime syndicate in Chicago dedicated to smuggling and bootlegging liquor and other illegal activities during the prohibition era. Capone, who was charming and charitable, yet at the same time powerful and vicious, became an iconic figure of the successful American gangster. Capone used some of his illegal bootlegging earnings to open up soup kitchens for a public that was economically devastated by the depression. Walking the line between cold-blooded gangster and modern-day Robin Hood was in part what made Capone one of America's most fabled criminals. www.bighousewines.com. Alc. by vol. 13.5%. Vinted and bottled by Big House Wine Co.
