Preparation: You Will Need: 2 cups water; 2 tablespoons margarine or butter; 1 package Essential Everyday Shells and White Cheddar Pasta & Sauce; 2/3 cup 2% milk. Stovetop: 1. In a 2-quart saucepan over Medium heat bring water, milk and margarine or butter to a boil. Stir in pasta; gently boil 12-14 minutes, stirring frequently (most of the water will be absorbed). 2. Stir in milk and sauce packet; return to a boil. Gently boil 1-2 minutes or until pasta is tender. 3. Remove from heat. Sauce will be thin; let stand 3-5 minutes to thicken. Microwave Oven: 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine water and margarine or butter; stir in pasta. Microwave (High) 10 minutes. Stir; continue microwaving 3-5 minutes (most of the water will be absorbed. 2. Stir in milk and sauce packet; continue microwaving for an additional 2-3 minutes (microwave ovens vary, adjust cooking time accordingly) or until pasta is tender. 3. Sauce will be thin; let stand 3-5 minutes to chicken. Caution: Product and container may be hot. Refrigerate unused portion. Less Fat: Prepare according to package directions using 1 teaspoon margarine and 3/4 cup skim milk. Reduces total fat from 10 g to 4 g per serving.
