Corn Syrup Solids, Salt, Wheat Flour, Cornstarch, Beef Flavor (Hydrolyzed Corn Protein with Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oil), Onion, Monosodium Glutamate, Paprika, Spices, Citric Acid, Yeast Extract, Garlic, Parsley, Natural Spice Extractives.
Directions
Oven baking bag & seasoning mix:
Time:
Prep time: 10 minutes.
Cooking time: 55 minutes.
Stand time: 5 minutes.
You will need:
1 pkg Sauer's roast chicken seasoning mix.
2-1/2 lbs chicken parts.
4 cups vegetables such as potatoes, green beans, onions and carrots cut into 1 inch pieces.
Important: allow 8 inches for bag to expand while cooking. Baking bag should not touch oven walls or racks.
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange opened baking bag in a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle seasoning mix evenly over chicken.
2. Place chicken in single layer in bag. Add vegetables. Sprinkle any remaining seasoning over the chicken and vegetables. Close bag loosely with nylon tie and cut four small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape.
3. Bake in oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until done. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes. Cut open bag and serve chicken with vegetables and pan juices.
Makes 8 servings.
Variations:
Use 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Place chicken on top of vegetables and bake for 45 minutes.
For chicken breasts without vegetables bake for 30 minutes.
