Microwave steam in the bag:
Place unopened bag in microwave with the seam up. Evenly distribute potatoes & microwave on high for 11 minutes. Bag inflates slowly during cooking & allows steam to escape through special vents. Let stand 2 minutes. Using oven mitts, remove carefully, using both hands to grasp bag at top corners. Cut top of the bag and pour potatoes into large bowl.
Caution: contents will be hot. Mash to desired smoothness (consistency) & season to taste. Cooking times may vary depending on the microwave. If the potatoes are not cooked, put the bag in the microwave standing up, fold the top down, and microwave until the potatoes are soft. Do not puncture or open the bag prior to microwaving.
Alternate suggestions: before mashing, add 2/3 cup milk and 2 tablespoons of non-hydrogenated margarine. For thinner texture, add 1-2 tablespoons milk; for richer flavor add 1-2 tablespoons butter.
Product must be fully cooked for food safety and quality.
To store: keep frozen until ready to use.
To reclose bag, twist open end and secure with rubber band or twist-tie. If thawed, cook promptly. Store at 0 degrees F. Check freezer temperature with thermometer and adjust controls as needed.
