Unique Coffee Roasters Costa Rican Royal Tarrazu Whole Bean Coffee.
Exploring the world for unique coffees.
A strictly hard bean, grown in the mountains of San Marcos Tarrazu in Costa Rica.
Light: Light and sweet.
Medium: Medium and full bodied.
Dark: Dark and intense.
A full-bodied bean with a mellow, bittersweet taste and excellent acidity.
French roasted.
Directions
Grinding and brewing:
Auto-drip grind (medium fine) this grind is recommended for use with an automatic drip brewing systems when using paper filters. Grinding coffee in this manner will result in medium-fine particles similar in texture to the grains of sand. Always use fresh water fresh coffee, that has been properly stored. Use 6-8 heaping tablespoons of ground coffee for a 10-12 cup drip coffee decanter. Adjust to taste by adding more or less coffee in the future. Keep in mind that using too little coffee will not make your brewed coffee weaker, it will make it bitter. If you find the coffee is too strong, add some hot water to it, this is perfectly ok.
Coffee storage tips:
To preserve the flavor of your coffee beans, you must protect them from moisture, light, and above all, air. That's why at unique coffee, we package our beans still warm from the roaster in our special flavor-lock valve bags. To ensure you experience all the unique flavors of our coffees, take the following steps when storing your coffee: Always keep your coffee in an air-tight, opaque container and store in a cool, dark place between 50 and 70 degrees. Coffee will remain fresh in our valve bags for up to five months if unopened. If you purchase larger quantities of coffee and have opened the valve bag (but go through the coffee slowly), store your beans in several small, airtight containers. The beans you don't use right away will stay fresher longer.
