Directions
You Will Need: 1-1/2 cups milk; 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened (To soften butter, let stand at room temperature about 1-2 hours, or microwave for 10-15 seconds until softened); 3 eggs. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F for shiny metal or glass pan or 325 degrees F for nonstick pan. Generously grease and flour bottom and sides of all pans. 2. Beat cake mix, milk, butter and eggs in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds, then on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan and spread evenly. 3. Bake as directed below or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting. Pan Size: 13 inches x 9 inches: 30-38 minutes bake time. Two 8 Inch Rounds: 30-38 minutes bake time. Two 9 Inch Rounds: 25-33 minutes bake time. Bundt: 33-41 minutes bake time. For Cupcakes: Heat oven to 400 degrees F for shiny metal pan or 375 degrees F for nonstick pan. Line regular-size muffin pan with paper baking cups. Spoon batter into cups (about 1/4 cup each). Bake 14 to 19 minutes. Makes about 24 cupcakes. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): 8-inch rounds not recommended. Makes 36 cupcakes.
