Something better starts here. Village harvest rice & grains. We're invested in making change at every turn. From an inspired new dish to new ways to help the farmer, Village Harvest plays a big part in making things a little better. It's more than just rice and grains, it's about discovering new possibilities at home in the kitchen, or thousands of miles away in the fields. Every day we're planting seeds of change and growing possibilities, one bag of goodness at a time. Village Harvest travels high into the Andes to harvest our quinoa. The Incas called quinoa the mother of grain and fed it to their warriors before battle. Now people refer to it as a super grain since it offers a healthy balance of essential amino acids. Each of these nicknames is slightly off. Quinoa is actually a seed-not a grain-from a plant related to spinach beets and Swiss chard. Call it what you will, we'll just call it delicious. Fully cooked in approximately 10 minutes, it has a pleasant fluffy consistency and delicate, slightly nutty flavor. Organic. USDA Organic. Naturally gluten free. Natural protein from the Andes. CCOF Organic. Organic is Non-GMO & more. 100% Whole Grain: 47 g or more per serving. Eat 48 g or more of whole grains daily. WholeGrainCouncil.org. Facebook. Instagram. Pinterest. www.VillageHarvestRice.com. Product of Peru or Bolivia.
