Enriched Bolted White Corn Meal (bolted White Corn Meal, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Folic Acid, Riboflavin), Leavening (baking Soda, Calcium Phosphate, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate), Salt.
Directions
Corn Meal-Coated Fried Fish: 1/2 cup Martha White Self-Rising Enriched Bolted White Corn Meal Pure Vegetable Oil, for frying. 1-1/2 pounds thin fish fillets, such as catfish, tilapia or flounder Sait and pepper Lemon wedges Place corn meal in shallow dish. Heat 1/4 inch oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Rinse and drain fish fillets. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of each fillet. Coat with corn meal. Fry fillets in batches, about 2 minutes per side, until fish flakes easily with fork and coating is golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve with lemon wedges. Makes 4 servings. Easy Southern Cornbread: 1 teaspoon All-Vegetable Shortening or Pure Vegetable Oil. 1 large egg. 1-3/4 cups buttermilk or 1 1/2 cups milk. 1/4 cup Pure Vegetable Oil. 2 cups Martha White Self-Rising Enriched Bolted White Corn Meal. Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Spoon shortening into 8-inch ovenproof skillet or 8-inch square or round baking pan. Place in oven to heat for about 5 minutes. Whisk egg in medium bowl. Stir in buttermilk, oil and corn meal until smooth. Batter should be creamy and pourable. If too thick, add 1 to 2 tablespoons additional milk. Carefully tilt skillet to coat bottom with shortening. - Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
