Direct source. Apricot. Amber syrup. Lusty. Nyeri, Kenya. Gluten free. Meet the Four J's: Chefs Joey Campanaro, Jonathan Waxman, Jimmy Bradley & Jayson Giagrande. Four J Foods was create by four friends and four chefs who drew on their combined over 100 years of experience in the culinary world. They have each influenced and inspired how people view and experience food with one common theme - always using the highest quality ingredients. This led them to developing some of the best flavors and products available. The chefs wanted to bring the same excellence to their coffee as they bring to their food. They traveled to growing regions around the globe, a trip that culminated in countless tasting sessions with their expert Roasting Team. The result is this carefully curated line of specialty coffees, delivered with the same excellence of other Four J Foods products. The world of coffee is a growing part of the global culinary scene. Coffee offers us a rare moment of supremacy as a standalone experience. There is an art in purity, whether as a sweet, ripe tomato, a juicy pear, or a perfectly roasted, robust coffee bean. We selected single microlots from the Nyeri region in the shadow of Mt. Kenya to source our beans. The volcanic, loamy soil and high altitude, combined with diligent farmers' care for the seedling all the way through to picking and processing, produces an outstanding bean that is never blended with the neighbors' coffee. Beans are roasted to the exact moment when the coffee's distinct flavors come to life. Traditional black currant serves as the canvas for distinct flavors notes. Dry, white wine, soft apricot, lush fruit acids and thick dark chocolate all evolve in this sublime cup. Altitude: 1,600 - 1,800 meters above sea level. Variety: SL 28, SL 34. Region: Kirinyaga, Nyeri Kenya. Scan to see our full line of products and recipes. To learn more about how we source, roast & brew our coffee, visit FourJFoods.com.
