Brassica oleracea var. gemmifera. Cool season. 85-110 days. Sow in early spring or late summer. Heirloom. Grown since the 1890s, still the most popular variety planted today. Each tasty gem is like a tiny cabbage with a nutty, mild flavor. Forget what you thought about Brussels sprouts as a child. Store-bought sprouts just can't compare to those picked fresh from the garden. Each little sprout is firm and full of wonderful flavor. Try them roasted with other vegetables, a hearty meat, or sausage. You can even leave them in the garden into the winter. Frost actually improves the flavor and the plants resemble little palm trees for a unique look when dusted with snow. This packet sows up to 87 feet. More info inside. We are dedicated to inspiring & educating the gardener in you. That's why we've put even more helpful information inside. No GMOs. All our seeds are untreated. www.botanicalinterests.com.
