Name: Turmeric, curcuma longa, aka Indian saffron or jiang huang. Climate: Tropics and sub-tropics. Plant Part Used: Roots. Ethnobotany: Has been associated with the sun and energy due to its vibrant color and is considered to be holy in India where it has been used to treat a myriad of ailments. Untouched nature mesmerizes me how it lives in harmony within itself; plants, animals and microorganisms, all intertwined in a sometimes chaotic yet cyclical unity. This perspective shaped my childhood and evolved into a quest for knowledge of ethnobotany (study of the relationships between peoples and plant). - Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.

- Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
