Red Kidney Beans, Salt, Paprika and Other Spices Including Chipotle Peppers, Dehydrated Garlic, Dehydrated Onion, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate.
Directions
Makes a delicious high-fiber, protein-rich, one-pot meal. You Will Also Need: 4 boneless chicken breasts, cut in 1/2-inch pieces (about 24 ounces); 2 tbsp olive oil; 2 medium onions, chopped (about 2 cups); 3 stalks of celery, chopped (about 1 cup); 2 carrots, chopped (about 1 cup); 4 quarts of chicken broth; 1/2 cup long grain rice; 1/2 cup of green onions (optional). Here's What You Do: 1. Rinse and inspect beans. 2. Using 1/3 of the enclosed spice packet, liberally coat the chicken. 3. In a large heavy pot, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Brown chicken and remove from pot. 4. Add the remaining oil, onions, celery and carrots. Saute over medium high heat for 5 minutes or until vegetables begin to soften. 5. Add beans, broth, chicken and remaining spice packet. Bring to a boil. (For a milder flavor, use 1/2 of remaining spice packet.) 6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. 7. Add rice and simmer 30 minutes, until beans are soft and rice is cooked. 8. Garnish with green onions if desired. Add water as necessary to obtain desired consistency. - Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.
