Household Cleaner: Our Family Baking Soda does all the jobs you do with scouring powder but without suds or scratches. Sprinkle Our Family Baking Soda on a damp sponge or cloth to clean countertops, appliances, metal cabinets and tile. Cleans Combs and Brushes: Soak for five minutes in a bowl of warm water with 4 tablespoons of Our Family Baking Soda. Removes oily residue but leaves no soapy film. Refrigerator Freshener: Our Family Baking Soda absorbs unpleasant food odors and keeps refrigerators sweet and clean. Remove top of box and place open package on refrigerator shelf. Replace regularly or as needed. Flush used Our Family Baking Soda down sink or bath to sweeten drains. Prevent Litter Box Odors: Spread contents of package evenly over bottom of litter box. Cover with 2 - 3 inches of cat litter. Our Family Baking Soda absorbs odors and extends useful life of litter. Relieves Minor Skin Irritations: Use as a paste or add one half cup to a tepid bath to soothe the pain and itch of insect bites and stings, prickly heat, poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac. To make a paste: Use three parts baking soda to one part water. Apply to affected areas of skin. Laundry Aid: For sweet, clean, fresh smelling laundry, use only 1/2 recommended amount of bleach and add 1/3 cup of Our Family Baking Soda. For Top Loaders: First add required amount of detergent and then start water at desired temperature. Next add 1/3 cup of Our Family Baking Soda and the laundry to be washed. Approximately two minutes after washing cycle begins, add 1/2 liquid chlorine beach as directed on the label. For Front Loaders: Follow directions for top loaders but use only 1/4 cup of Our Family Baking Soda. Septic Tanks: To create more favorable conditions for better sewage digestion of household waste products pour one cup of Our Family Baking Soda down toilet or drain once a week. Your septic tank will work better and chances of corrosion, odors, clogging and backup are reduced. For Brushing Teeth: Use occasionally on a wet toothbrush to whiten teeth and refresh your mouth. - Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
