How to prepare Buñuelos: Recipe: You will need: Contents of this box. 3 cups of ground fresh white cheese (preferably hard and dry cheese). 1 egg. Water or milk, the amount depends on the cheese moisture. Preparation: 1. In a medium size bowl mix the contents of this box with the cheese, add 1egg, and slowly, add water or milk as needed and continue mixing until form a soft dough. The dough should not be sticky. Do not knead the dough too much. 2. In a medium pot, put enough oil and heat it to medium-high temperature, until reach 293 degrees F (145 degrees C). Once the oil is ready (see frying instructions). Divide the dough in small pieces and give them ball shape. Add each ball into the hot oil, leaving enough space to they can grow and rotate. 3. When the Buñuelos are golden (about 10-12 minutes), remove them from the oil and place them on a dry paper towel. Friying Instructions: Place a small ball of dough in the oil. The dough should sink to the bottom and rises to the surface in 10-15 seconds. This means the ideal temperature has been achieved. If the dough rises in less than 10 seconds, the oil is too hot. If the dough takes longer than 15 seconds, the oil is still cold. Once oil achieves the right temperature, add one by one the buñuelos to avoid them sticking. Add the following buñuelo as soon the last one rises to the surface. Recommendations: Use enough oil to the ideal temperature for frying. This must be constant to the buñuelos rotate alone. At low temperature the buñuelos absorb too much oil and can deform. At high temperature the buñuelos are browned before grow and may burst.
