Sugar, Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks (Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Milkfat, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Flavor and Milk), Cocoa Processed with Alkali, Walnut Pieces, Corn Syrup. Contains 2% or Less of: Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and/or Cottonseed Oil, Corn Starch, Salt, Carob Powder, Artificial Flavor, Freshness Preserved by BHT.
Directions
You will need: 1/4 cup water; 1/4 cup vegetable oil; 1 egg. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F for shiny metal pan or 325 degrees F for dark, nonstick or glass pan. Grease (or use cooking spray) bottom of pan. 2. Stir brownie mix, water, oil and egg in medium bowl until well blended. Spread in pan. 3. Bake as directed or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean; cool. To cut warm brownies easily, cut with plastic knife using short sawing motions. Store tightly covered. 8x8 inch pan: 39-42 minutes bake time. 9x9 inch pan: 34-37 minutes bake time. 11x7 inch pan: 32-35 minutes bake time. Betty's tips: For thinner brownies, bake in 13x9 inch pan 19-21 minutes. For cakelike brownies, use 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup vegetable oil and 2 eggs. High altitude (3500-6500 ft): Stir 1 tbsp all-purpose flour into dry brownie mix. Make brownies using 1/3 cup water, 3 tbsp oil and 1 egg for regular brownies, 2 eggs for cakelike brownies. Bake 8x8 inch 45-49 minutes; 9x9 inch 37-40 minutes; 11x7 inch 35-38 minutes; 13x9 inch 25-28 minutes.
