No. 1 doctor recommended. Noise reduction rating: 30 dB. Extreme comfort. Sleeping, loud events, travel, etc. Free keychain travel case. Provides ultimate comfort for women with small or sensitive ear canals. CE listed. Information required by the EPA: the level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximately by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: 1. The environmental noise level as measured by the ear is 100 dB (A). 2. The NRR is 30 decibels (dB). 3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 70 dB (A). Tested according to ANSI 53.19-1974 attenuation data: Frequency: grand mean attenuation, standard deviation, real-ear protection: 125 Hz, 33.2 dB, 4.2 dB, 25.0 dB; 250 Hz, 36.6 dB, 5.2 dB, 26.2 dB; 500 Hz, 38.8 dB, 4.8 dB, 29.2 dB; 1000 Hz, 36.6 dB, 3.3 dB, 30.0 dB; 2000 Hz, 37.5 dB, 3.2 dB, 31.1 dB; 3150 Hz, 41.2 dB, 2.5 dB, 36.2 dB; 4000 Hz, 42.0 dB, 3.7 dB, 34.6 dB; 6300 Hz, 47.7 dB, 3.4 dB, 40.9 dB; 8000 Hz, 49.1 dB, 4.2 dB, 40.7 dB. Noise reduction rating: 30 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (high numbers denote greater effectiveness. Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. EPA label required by USEPA regulation 40 CFR part 211 subpart B. www.MacksEarplugs.com. Made in Sweden.
Directions
1. With clean hands, roll plus into a tight, crease-free cylinder. 2. With opposite hand, reach over head and pull up and back on outer ear to straightened ear canal. 3. Quickly insert earplug well into ear canal and hold in place until it expands for a comfortable secure fit. 4. Improper fitting will reduce effectiveness, which could result in hearing loss or injury. Discard after several uses or as soon as dirt or wax accumulates on earplugs.
Warnings
Remove earplug slowly with twisting motion to gradually break the seal. Rapid removal may damage eardrum. Keep away from infants and small children. These earplugs are non-toxic, but may interfere with breathing if caught in windpipe, which could lead to serious injury or death. For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire. Constant or repetitive exposure to impulsive noise may lead to serious injury, temporary or permanent deafness. The Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) calculated from the attenuation data is 30 dB. Mack's Dreamgirl Soft Foam Earplugs must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively. Refer to directions above for proper fit.
