Stovetop Directions: Brown 1 pound of lean ground beef in a 10-inch skillet; drain. Stir 1 cup hot water, 2 cups milk, and uncooked macaroni and sauce mix until sauce mix is dissolved. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat. (sauce will thicken as it stands). Microwave Directions: In a 2-1/2 - quart microwaveable bowl or casserole, crumble 1 pound of ground beef. Microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes. Break up meat into smaller pieces and continue to microwave for 2 to 4 minutes more until meat is brown; drain and return to bowl. Mix in uncooked pasta, sauce mix, 1 cup milk and 2-1/2 cups hot water. Microwave uncovered on high for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes until pasta is tender. Sauce will thicken as it stands. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate. Caution: Bowl will be hot.
