Chocolate chip cookies - serves 40 (1 cookie each) - all you need - 1 cup hy-vee butter, softened, 3/4 cup hy-vee granulated sugar, 3/4 cup packed hy-vee brown sugar, 1 tsp hy-vee vanilla, 2 hy-vee large eggs, 2-1/4 cups hy-vee flour, 1 tsp hy-vee baking soda, 1/2 tsp hy-vee salt, 1 package (12 oz) hy-vee semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts, optional, all you do - 1. Preheat oven to 375°f. 2. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs until creamy. 3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and, if desired, nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. 4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand on cookie sheet 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
