Preheat oven to 375°f. 2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl, beat butter, shortening and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla. Gradually mix in flour mixture until completely combined. Fold in baking chips and nuts. 4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. 5. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
