Preparation instructions - stovetop directions (4 servings): 1. Heat 1 1/2 cups hot water and 2 tablespoons butter to boiling in a 2 quart saucepan, remove from heat. 2. Stir in 1/2 cup 2% milk, 1 packet potatoes and seasoning mix just until moistened. Let stand about 1 minute or until liquid is absorbed. 3. Whip with fork until smooth. For stiffer potatoes, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. *for 8 servings: increase water to 3 cups, milk to 1 cup and butter to 1/4 cup. Use 2 packets potatoes and seasoning mix. If microwaving, increase time to 6 to 8 minutes. For creamier potatoes: stir in more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time. Microwave directions (4 servings): 1. Stir together 1 2/3 cups hot water, 1/2 cup 2% milk, 2 tablespoons butter, 1 packet potatoes and seasoning mix in microwaveable bowl until moistened. 2. Cover with plastic wrap, folding back one side to vent. Microwave on high 2 to 6 minutes. 3. Whip with fork until smooth. For stiffer potatoes let stand 3 to 5 minutes.
