Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place thawed chicken, breast side up, in a baking dish. Bake chicken 1 1/2 to 2 hours. During baking juices will have collected in bottom of baking dish, take care when removing from the oven. Grill: Check grill manufacturer's instructions. Place chicken on grill rack over a drip pan but not over coals. Baste with your own special sauce or a bottled barbecue sauce. Apply sauce during last 30 minutes of cooking, turning chicken often and applying sauce liberally after each turning. Recommendation: Remove chicken from heat and rest 5 minutes before carving. Cooking Instructions: Chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 185 degrees F. as measured with a meat thermometer. Caution: Juices will be hot.
