Directions: Protect eyes and skin (especially face and arms) using face shield, apron and rubber gloves while opening and pouring. To open, do not squeeze bottle. Place bottle on firm surface then carefully press down on safety cap while turning cap counterclockwise. Do not drop bottle! Fixture Protection: Cover all metal, chrome, sink bottoms and any other sink or accessible plumbing fixtures that may be exposed to the Kleen Out with a thick coating of Vaseline to protect surfaces from the acid. Drains: 3/4 cup let stand 5 minutes. When drain clears, flush with water for 2 to 3 minutes. Grease Traps: 1 qt or more. Let stand 15 minutes. Repeat treatment periodically for control. Septic Tanks: 1 gal per 500 gal of capacity. Addition throughout drainage system.

Disposal: Dispose of product and container, after rinsing, in a sanitary landfill or by incineration if allowed by local, state and federal regulations. Stay away from the smoke.

Warnings

Caution: Sulfuric acid can etch sinks, damage fixtures, corrode steel piping and erode seals if exposed. Remove any excess water and slowly pour measured amount of Kleen Out directly into drain at arms length away from body. Never place your face over drain opening. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then slowly add 1 to 2 cups of water direct into drain. Never use a plunger after adding acid to drain. Repeat process until drain runs free. Since grease traps and drains vary in size and condition, for drain treatment, see recommended dilution table. Do not add Kleen Out into standing water and do not use where caustic or other household or any other plumbing chemicals are or have been present as violent reactions with back splashing toxic vapor emissions and dangerous heat liberation can occur. After pouring, immediately place in a plastic bucket over the drain opening to protect against possible eruption of contents. When the Kleen Out container is completely empty, rinse with water and puncture container before discarding to prevent accidental burns. Never add water to acid while in the container as a violent reaction will occur., Caution: Not recommended for use in bath tubs since porcelain surfaces may be damaged. Coating surfaces with a heavy coating of Vaseline prior to using Kleen out will provide limited protection to surfaces that may be exposed to Kleen out. If liquid bubbles back into sink, dilute immediately with water. Worn sink drains may leak after pouring. Protect floor by using catch pails., Practical Treatments: If on Skin: Flush skin with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Cover with moist paste of baking soda and water or moist magnesia. Contact physician. Remove affected clothing and wash with soap and water. Mop or sponge any spillage and then thoroughly wash affected surfaces. If Swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Give large quantities of water or milk to reduce concentration. Follow with a solution of milk of magnesia and water or baking soda and water, then egg whites beaten with water. Seek prompt medical attention. If in Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with large quantities of running water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eye lids open to insure rinsing of entire eye and lid surfaces - continue the flushing with 1% baking soda and water. Contact a physician immediately., Danger - poison cause severe burns. If strong odor is evident move to fresh air immediately. Note: Spills and leaks should be neutralized before cleanup with baking soda. Neutralizing solution: mix 1/4 cup of baking soda with one quart of water. Keep baking soda in solution by stirring as needed. Attention: After drain is unclogged, gradually (a little at a time) pour, over a 15 minute period, the entire quart of neutralizing solution into the fixture, so that it flows into the drain. Then flush with cold water for 5 minutes. Ensure the cap is securely locked on the bottle after use and store the product in a cool, dry place and in an upright position in a secure and locked cabinet away from children.
