Preparation/Cooking Instructions: Stovetop Instructions: 1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in 2 quart saucepan. Submerge 1 unopened bag of rice completely in water. 2. Boil uncovered for 10-12 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs. Drain. 4. Cut bag open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Fluff with fork and serve. 5. Add butter or margarine as desired. Cook 2 bags by doubling water and using 4 quart saucepan. Microwave Instructions: 1. Measure 4 cups hot water into a 2 quart microwave-safe bowl. Submerge 1 unopened bag of rice completely in water. 2. Cover bowl and microwave on high for 12-15 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs. Drain. 4. Cut bag open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Fluff with fork and serve. 5. Add butter or margarine as desired. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. We do not recommend using the microwave to cook multiple bags. Out of the Bag Cooking Instructions: 1. Brown rice can also be prepared out of the bag. 2. Empty the uncooked rice into a medium saucepan and add 1-1/4 cups of water or broth per bag. 3. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. 4. Cook until liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes. For best results, use stovetop cooking method.
