Baking Mix: Sugar, Wheat Flour, Wheat Starch, Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt, Flavor, Cocoa Glaze: Hydrogenated Vegetable Palm Fat, Sugar, Lowfat Cocoa, Sunflower Lecithin, Flavor (contains Lactose), Cocoa Powder: Lowfat Cocoa
Directions
You Will Need: 3 eggs, 7 oz (200 g) softened butter (or margarine), 3-4 tbsp milk (or water). Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Baking Pan: 10 inch loaf pan. Preparation: Preheat oven. Combine base mix, 3 eggs, 7 oz (200 g) softened butter (or margarine) and 2-3 tbsp milk or water in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer for about 3-4 minutes until dough is smooth and creamy. Fill 2/3 of the dough evenly into a well floured and greased 10 inch loaf pan. Mix cocoa power with 1 tbsp of milk (or water) and fold into the remaining 1/3 dough. Pour chocolate dough on top of the light base dough. Using a fork, swirl chocolate dough into light dough, in order to make the marble pattern. Bake: Bake Marble Cake in preheated oven. After 15 minutes, use a sharp knife to make a 1/3 inch incision across top (lengthwise). Continue baking for approx. 35-40 minutes on middle rack until toothpick comes out clean (baking times may vary depending on oven type and altitude). After baking, remove pan from oven and let it cool down for a couple of minutes. Cocoa Glaze: Place cocoa glaze bag into hot water and remove bag after a few minutes when glaze has melted. Cut off one corner, pour and brush glaze so that cake is fully covered.
