Dry red wine. Vigneti La Selvanella owes its name to a farm owned by Casa Melini in Radda, in the historic heart of the Chianti Classico area. The vineyard covers a single area of 124 acres, situated on the knoll of a hill at 1,312-1,968 feet above sea level with an happy combination of soils, exposure and microclimate. The production of this Riserva began with the 1969 vintage. The wine has a well-defined and recognizable style, closely linked to the special characteristics of the vineyard and its grape variety. Alc. 14.5% by Vol. 29 Bottled by Melini S.p.A. Bardolino - Italy at its own cellars of Poggibonsi - Italy. Product of Italy. Chianti is an iconic name of undeniable appeal among wine lovers. With historical references as old as the 13th century, Tuscany’s Chianti wine occupies a singularly important position in Italy, with more than 17,000 acres of Chianti Classico-designated vineyards. Fattorie Melini is the top range of Tuscan wines from Melini, a historic Chianti estate since 1705. The Fattorie line uses only 100% estate-grown grapes from Chianti’s most renowned vineyards, creating benchmark wines such as “La Selvanella”, the first single vineyard wine in Chianti. Alessandro Zanette represents the new generation of winemaking at Fattorie Melini. The winery, located in Gaggiano di Poggibonsi, sits carved out of a steep 1,800-foot hillside; benefitting from this design, multi-stage fermenters accomplish the progressive phases of vinification by gravity rather than forced pumping.

- Delivery fees start at $3.99 for same-day orders over $35. Fees vary for one-hour deliveries, club store deliveries, and deliveries under $35.
- Service fees vary and are subject to change based on factors like location and the number and types of items in your cart. Orders containing alcohol have a separate service fee.

- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
