whole wheat pizza bake - 2 cups uncooked egg noodles, 1/2 lb ground italian sausage, 1 onion, chopped, 1 green bell pepper, chopped, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained, 2.25 oz sliced black olives, 3 oz pepperoni, sliced, 16 oz pizza sauce, 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional), 5 tbsp milk, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, preheat oven to 350°f and prepare noodles according to package directions. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown italian sausage with onions, green pepper, garlic powder, and mushrooms. Drain excess fat. Mix in noodles, black olives, pepperoni, pizza sauce, tomato paste and milk. Pour mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. Cover with tin foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover, top with cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes.
cooking instructions - bring 3 quarts of water per pound to a rapid boil. If desired, add 2 teaspoons of salt. Gradually add 12 oz. Of weis quality noodles to boiling water. Stir gently and return to a rapid boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally for 6 to 7 minutes, or until desired degree of tenderness is reached. Drain. For casseroles and pour-over sauces, rinse in hot water. For salads, rinse in cold water.
