Read and follow instructions. Hair colourants can cause severe allergic reactions. Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before use. Before you colour perform a skin allergy test. Read these entire usage instructions carefully. Skin allergy test instructions. Must be performed 48 hours before you colour your hair. You will need a cotton ball or swab, a plastic bowl and a plastic spoon. 1. Cleanse an area the size of a quarter with soap and water in the bend of your elbow. Pat dry. 2. Using a plastic utensil, mix a dab of the developer lotion, with a few drops of the colourant lotion in a plastic container. The ratio should be 1.5 part developer and 1 part colourant lotion. Tightly recap the hair colour product and developer. Do not use metal utensils. 3. Apply mixture to the test area with a cotton ball or swab. 4. Let test spot dry. Do not wash, cover or disturb for 48 hours. 5. Examine test area after 24 hours and again after 48 hours. If no reaction has occurred, you are ready to colour. Note: if any abnormal reactions - such as redness, burning, itching, swelling, skin abrasions, eruptions or irritations appear in or around the test area, you have a reaction. You should not use this product at all. Be aware that even if a sensitivity test has been carried out, you may still experience an allergic reaction when you colour your hair. The sensitivity test is not a guarantee to avoid future allergic reactions. Keep the empty package for a few days in case you experience a reaction. What to do if you have a reaction during or within the next 48 hours of colouring your hair. If during colouring you experience any slinging or burning and/or rash, rinse immediately and discontinue use as this may be an indication of a more serious reaction. Tips for flawless colour coverage. Apply colour to dry hair that does not have a strong build-up of styling product. If your hair has build-up, shampoo one day prior to colouring. Do not shampoo your hair for at least 24 hours before colouring. Your scalp has natural oils that help protect it during the colouring process. Before colouring. Make sure you are not wearing any accessories, or using any metal tools, when colouring your hair. For best results, colour your hair in a warm room that has a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C). If any colour gets on skin or household surfaces, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel. Do not use this product if you are going more than two shades lighter or darker than your current colour or if you have recently bleached, double processed, highlighted, permed or relaxed your hair. During colouring. Use as much foam as you can. The more foam you use, and the more you massage, the better your colour results. If you have short hair, use at least 2/3 of bottle (see dotted line on developer 1). If you have shoulder length to long hair, use the entire bottle. Make sure to cover your roots, hairline and the back of your head entirely with foam. Gently massage with fingertips to avoid hair tangling. Foam is unlike any other home hair colour. Gently tilt, do not shake. Click. Replace black cap with foamer 4 & click into place. Use immediately after mixing. Discard unused mixture. Squeeze center. Dispense foam. Hold bottle upright and squeeze the centre of the bottle. Always squeeze foam into your hand, never directly onto your hair. For short hair, make sure to use 2/3 of the bottle (check the usage line on bottle). For shoulder length to long hair, make sure to use the entire bottle. Option A. All-over colour step 2. Apply a tennis ball sized amount of foam to your gloved hand. Then apply to the hair, starting at the roots of your natural part. Front, back.
