Elementree is our commitment to a more sustainable North America. We know what you're thinking - paper can't be good for the environment. It's made from trees. Trees are cut down. Therefore, there are fewer trees. It seems logical. But that's not the way it is. Here's how elementree products help the environment: when you buy products with the elementree logo, you are actually helping to preserve the environment by contributing to the reforestation of North America. That's because, on average, 2 trees are planted for ever 1 tree harvested to make paper. That adds up to 1.7 million trees planted every day! More trees means cleaner air, water & soil and a better North America for all of us. Elementree paper comes from certified North American forests that are managed for sustainability. As a result, we meet the demand for paper products about compromising forest health and diversity. You can print responsibly knowing elementree paper is good for the environment. This paper provides a sustainable balance between recycled paper fiber and renewable wood fiber. Each sheet is made with 30% post consumer recycled fiber and 70% sustainable wood fiber. Did you know: There are 750 million acres of forestland in the US today. This is 12 million more acres than 20 years ago. Trees used to make elementree paper come from local sources within North America which reduces our carbon footprint by controlling transportation costs and emissions. Elementree products are certified by the sustainable forestry initiative (SFI) or the forest stewardship council (FSC). Recycled paper cannot fulfill demand alone - paper can only be recycled up to seven times - a balance of renewable and recycled fiber is necessary to sustainability meet paper demand. Sustainable forestry initiative. Certified fiber sourcing. Fiber used in this product line meets the sourcing requirements of the SFI program. Made in the USA.
