We get to eat fresh grass in pastures, 365 days a year. We have plenty of room to roam - more than a football field for every two cows! Conventional dairies keep their cows indoors in barns much of the year. They don't get to eat grass outdoors in pasture every single day like we do. Because we are pasture grazed year-round, our milk is super nutritious and tastes amazing (Compared to conventional dairy farms). Our milk is also non-GMO and comes from cows which are not treated with rBST or antibiotics. Hard is the first pasteurized milk dairy in the US to be Certified Humane (Meets the Humane Farm Animal Care Program standards, which include nutritious diet without antibiotics, or hormones, animals raised with shelter, resting areas, sufficient space and the ability to engage in natural behaviors certified humane.org). Our farm is also using advanced farming methods to be as environmentally friendly as possible! This means we are well treated and makes us healthier and happier cows (Compared to conventional dairy farms). And take it from me, when we cows are happy, we make simply better milk. Why Hart Milk?
