Handmade. All natural. Imported stone baked Italian Pizza. No preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. The True Story: Italy's culinary creations and recipes are arguably the best known and highly sought after the world over. Mention Italian food and pizza is often heralded as the most famous and popular export of all. We can trace the origin of the pizza to Southern Italy 977 AD, and serious food connoisseurs know that more specifically Naples, Italy is the birthplace of the modern day incarnation of this savory baked good. It was in 1889, Naples, Italy when a Neapolitan Piazzaiolo, pizza maker, Raffaele Esposito created a pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil leaves to honor the visit of Queen Margherita of Savoy. He was inspired by the Italian flag's green, white and red. Legend has it, this successful dish would later be named Pizza Margherita the flagship of Pizza Napoletana in honor of the Queen and serve as the template of our modern day versions of the most versatile food offering ever created. Over the decades, countless combinations of toppings have catapulted pizza to the number one food consumed around the world. And the humble Pizza Margherita remains the top selling pizza over a century after its creation. Our facility is in the heart of the Naples region, the birthplace of Pizza Napoletana where all our natural ingredients (tomatoes, vegetables and cheeses) are the base of the heralded Mediterranean diet in its epicenter, the coast of Cilento. We follow the artesian tradition of real brick pizza ovens with the open natural flames that kiss our pizzas giving them their signature well done beauty marks. Our Pizza Napoletana is so authentic its classic irregular shape is the stamp of handmade quality; it's as close as you can get to the original recipe without a passport. Buon Appetito!
