Place the bowl in the refrigerator for approximately 8 hours or over night. Rinse shrimp in a colander under cold running water and use as desired. Place unused portion in a covered bowl of ice water and refrigerate. For quick thawing place desired amount of shrimp in a colander and place under cold running water for approximately 5-10 minutes. Let drain for another 2-3 minutes. Use shrimp immediately or refrigerate in a covered bowl of ice water until ready to use. Quick & Simple Cooking Ideas. Boiling: Bring 1 qt. salted water to a boil. Add thawed shrimp and simmer gently for approximately 3 minutes. Do not overcook. Shrimp is done when it turns opaque. Drain immediately and rinse in cold water. Shrimp is now ready to eat. Stir-Frying or Sauteing: Heat oil or melt butter in a wok or skillet. Blend in parsley, garlic, your favorite dried or fresh herbs and chopped shallots. Add thawed peeled shrimp, gently cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Pour in a small amount of wine or lemon juice at the last minute, just to heat through. Grilling or Broiling: Thread thawed shrimp on skewers, alternating with bite-size pieces of onion, pepper, mushroom and tomatoes. Marinate in your favorite marinade or salad dressing for 2 hours in the refrigerator, or brush with oil. Cook on a hot grill or broil for 3-5 minutes on each side. If thawed store in refrigerator. - Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
