The Vitiano Bianco represents an innovative Italian white blend comprised of the main varietals found along the two Italian coastlines: Verdicchio from the Adriatic and Vermentino from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Vermentino is typically harvested first, towards the beginning of September, followed by Verdicchio during the second half of the month. Both varietals are vinified separately and after pressing, juice is left to settle at low temperatures over 3-days before the onset of fermentation. Temperature-controlled fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks between 13-15°C & the final blend is performed once fermentation is complete. At this time the wine is aged over its lees for two months and then fined and filtered before bottling.
Falesco Vitiano Bianco White Wine is fruit-forward, floral, fresh and well-balanced with an elegant softness and a refined golden hue. This Italian white wine pairs well with a wide variety of seafood and cheese-based pasta dishes.
The vintage 2019 received 90 points from Luca Maroni and from IMV. One 750mL wine bottle of Falesco Vitiano Bianco White Wine contains 12.7% alcohol by volume.
• Vitiano Bianco is the unification of two different varietals with very different organoleptic attributes: Vermentino brings intense aromas of flowers and stone fruit on the nose and palate while Verdicchio add structure and tension to the blend.
