First vinified on its own 1985, Ceretto’s 100% Arneis has become an iconic white wine from Piemonte. Representing the beauty that native Piedmontese white varietals express in a bottle, Blangé is a wine that the Ceretto family believes has ‘defined an era,’ as it revolutionized winemaking in the Langhe – a region previously predominantly devoted to red wine production. Grown in the Roero and in the Langhe, the Blangé is a monovarietal wine made from 100% estate-grown fruit that is farmed organically on both sides of the Tanaro river.Blangé is made in a unique manner only using stainless steel tanks. A natural level of dissolved CO2 is left in the wine upon bottling to present a light spritz upon opening. This ‘spritz’ of CO2 is endogenous, being produced naturally by the yeast during the alcoholic fermentation. With vibrant acidity and enticing aromas of green apple, Bartlett pear and orange blossom intertwined with subtle hints of almond.
