Enriched Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Corn Meal, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Onions (Dried), Salt, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Hydrolyzed Corn and Soy Protein, Yeast, Cooked Chicken and Chicken Broth, Celery (Dried), Monosodium Glutamate, Parsley (Dried), Chicken Fat, Whey (from Milk), Dextrose, Spices, Sugar, Turmeric (Color), Corn Starch, Caramel (Color), Natural Flavor, Annatto (Color), Calcium Propionate (Preservative).
Directions
Top of the Stove: 1. In a medium saucepan, heat 1-1/2 cups water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine to a boil (melt butter/margarine completely). 2. Stir in contents of stuffing mix pouch. 3. Remove from heat, cover and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave: 1. In a 1-1/2 quart microwave safe bowl, mix contents of stuffing mix pouch with 1-1/2 cups hot water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, cut into pieces. 2. Cover, and microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes. 3. Fluff with fork and serve. Caution: Bowl will be hot. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate. In-the-Bird Preparation: 1. Prepare stuffing by blending contents of seasoning packet with 1-1/2 cups hot water and 1/2 stick butter or margarine. Stir in bread crumbs. Do not stuff the bird until ready to roast. 2. Rinse poultry with cold water. Pat dry, salt lightly. 3. Stuff cavities with prepared stuffing (using approximately 3/4 cup per pound of bird). Try these delicious add-ins: Prepare the Spartan Stuffing Mix according to package directions. Mix with one or more of the following ingredients to create a personalized dish: chopped nuts, water chestnuts, diced cooked ham, crumbled bacon, sauteed mushrooms, cooked corn drained, sliced cooked sausage, diced apple, chopped cooked giblets, sauteed green pepper.
