As they sold the gaufres (French for waffles) at county fairs, the light crispy waffles became a tradition throughout the region, and Van dam bakeries began to flourish in Brussels during the 19th and 20th centuries. Then in 1964, the Belgian Waffle was introduced to America at the New York World's Fair, where the famous waffle was served with whipped cream and strawberries. Calcium is important for building strong teeth and bone density, which protects against broken bones, bone loss and osteoporosis. Directions
Keep frozen until ready to heat. For best results, allow waffles to thaw slightly before heating. Oven or Toaster Oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place waffles on wire rack in oven for approximately 2-1/2 - 3-1/2 minutes. Van's waffles are best heated in an oven to maintain the crispness that makes them unique. Individual oven temperatures may vary.
