Leone represents the historic lion symbol found in the Tasca family crest. This wine was crafted with a specific project of combining different high-elevation exposures, soils and varietals. Leone is a wine for the avant-garde and those who appreciate true harmony in a glass. Made chiefly from Catarratto grapes, Leone is blended with Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc and Traminer grapes for depth of aromas and vibrant acidity. Leone represents the sum of the aromatic freshness provided by white grapes cultivated on the high hills of Sicily. After a temperature-controlled fermentation between 14-16°C (57-60°F) in stainless steel tanks over 15 days, the wine is aged sur-lie in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.
