Celebrating 40 years. J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines. Family winemaking. Est. 1974. 40th anniversary red wine. 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec. In 1972, our founder, Jerry Lohr, solidified his vision to craft wine from California's Central Coast. He purchased land in Greenfield, in the heart of Monterey County, which later became the Arroyo Seco AVA, and established our initial winery in San Jose in 1974. That same year, we made our first wine, a 1974 Petite Sirah. Jerry then went on to acquire land and plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the Paso Robles AVA in 1998, which became home to our second winery. We are excited to commemorate our 40th anniversary with a special bottling to celebrate these milestones. We proudly offer a red blend combining our most popular varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon, with Petite Sirah, Merlot and Malbec, in tribute to our first bottling in 1974. Please join us in celebrating Jerry's passion and dedication these past forty years with this very special limited-production wine. jlohr.com. Alc. 14.8% by vol. Produced and bottled by J.
