High NRR 33. Helps block snoring. Over 500 million Ear Plugs sold. 28 years of protecting ears. Tested according to ANSI Specs S3.19-1974. The level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Attenuation Chart (ANSI 3.19 - 1974): Frequency: 125; Mean Attenuation (dB): 39.9; Standard Deviation (db): 4.9. Frequency: 250; Mean Attenuation (dB): 37.7; Standard Deviation (db): 4.6. Frequency: 500; Mean Attenuation (dB): 42.2; Standard Deviation (db): 3.8. Frequency: 1000; Mean Attenuation (dB): 40.3; Standard Deviation (db): 4.7. Frequency: 2000; Mean Attenuation (dB): 40.4; Standard Deviation (db): 2.3. Frequency: 2000; Mean Attenuation (dB): 40.4; Standard Deviation (db): 2.3. Frequency: 3150; Mean Attenuation (dB): 44.5; Standard Deviation (db): 5.2. Frequency: 4000; Mean Attenuation (dB): 45.5; Standard Deviation (db): 2.4. Frequency: 6300; Mean Attenuation (dB): 47.3; Standard Deviation (db): 2.6. Frequency: 8000; Mean Attenuation (dB): 46.8; Standard Deviation (db): 3.1. Example: 1. The environmental noise level as measured at the earis 92 decibels dB(A). 2. The NRR is 32 decibels (dB). 3. The level of the noise entering the ear is approximately 60 dB(A). Noise Reduction Rating 32 decibels (when used as directed). The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers denote greater effectiveness). Federal law prohibits removal of this label prior to purchase. EPA. Label required by U.S. E.P.A. Regulation 40 CFR Part 211, Subpart B.
Directions
Easy Instructions: Ear plugs must be inserted properly for optimum performance. 1. With clean hands, firmly roll entire ear plug between thumb and fingers to form a thin tight cylinder. 2. Using one hand, gently lift top of ear up to open ear canal. With other hand, insert rounded end of ear plug. 3. With forefinger, hold ear plug in place until it expands to form a comfortable, snug fit. Practice of insertion is recommended. Please refer to the video fitting instructions at hearos.com. Discard product after several uses or as soon as dirt or wax accumulates on ear plugs.
