For speed and convenience, the air fryer can’t be beat. Cook crunchy air fried fish in just 10 minutes and without the mess that frying makes. This coating mix, created especially for the air fryer, is made with bread crumbs and seasoned boldly with Creole-Cajun spices like paprika, garlic and onion. Jazz up your weeknight dinner with crispy fish sticks, crunchy fish tacos, Cajun tilapia, Creole catfish or air fried fish and chips. No air fryer? Our fried fish coating can also be used in the oven.
Ingredients
Bleached Wheat Flour, Bread Crumbs (bleached Wheat Flour, Yeast, Sugar, Salt), Salt, Sunflower Oil, Spices (including Paprika), Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Disodium Inosinate And Guanylate (flavor Enhancers), Lemon Juice Concentrate & Sugar.
Directions
You’ll Need: 1 Egg. 1/2 cup coating mix. 1 pound catfish or tilapia fillets. No stick cooking spray. Pour: Coating mix into shallow dish. Beat egg in separate shallow dish. Dip fish in egg to moisten. Coat fish, a few pieces at a time, pressing to coat evenly with coating mix. Discard any remaining egg or coating. Place: Fish in single layer in air fryer basket. Spray with no stick cooking spray (tops only). Air Fry: As directed below, until fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. (No need to flip fillets). Cook time chart for fish fillets: Air fry set temperature to 375 degrees. 10 min. Oven set temperature to 450 degrees F. 15 mins. Oven Directions: Coat fish as directed above. Place fish on large-lined baking pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Bake as directed below until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Tips and Tricks: Serve fish with Zatarain’s yellow rice or cilantro lime rice for a complete, tasty meal.
