Maureen Robinson, a master blender with over 40 years of whisky blending experience, created this luxurious bottle by taking a 12-year-old whisky and double maturing it for nearly 3 decades, then marrying the whiskies in precious ex-Solera Rum casks of Zacapa XO Rum and Zacapa Royal Rum. This medium to full-bodied whisky has a mellow aroma with hints of fruit, savory sage, and a balance of spicy oak. The palate is fruity, turning salty and plum-sour mid-palate, balanced by dark chocolate and a smoky, black pepper finish.
