Reduces creosote build-up in chimneys from wood fires.
Directions
Use 1 Flue-Renew® fire log every month during peak burning season or 1 log every 20-30 fires.
Follow-up Flue-Renew fire log treatments will continue to break down any pre-existing build-up.
Instructions for use:
1. Create an air space between body of the fire log and the wrapper by carefully pulling outward on the seam. Do not tear open wrapper.
Toward the end of your wood fire, when flames hove diminished and the embers are still hot, carefully place one Duraflame Flue-Renew fire log on top of the hot embers with the wrapper seam facing up.
If the Flue-Renew Fire log does not ignite on the hot embers, then add kindling or newspaper to hot embers beneath fire log.
Close door(s) of woodstove and leave air vents open.
2. The Flue-Renew fire log will burn for approximately 90 -120 minutes. Keep woodstove door(s) closed for several hours until the fire log has burned out completely. Do not remove any remains or ash of the Flue-Renew log. The remains will continue to work during your next wood fire.
3. For the next few days, continue burning wood fires regularly. This will help continue the break-up of creosote. Occasionally clean creosote debris from the smoke shelf and flue elbows.

Do not use with gas fireplaces, oil stoves or pellet stoves. Read instructions on fire log wrapper before use. Store out of reach from children and pets. Not suitable for human or animal consumption.
