Enriched Precooked Parboiled Long Grain Rice (rice, Niacin, Iron [ferric Orthophosphate], Thiamine [thiamine Mononitrate], Folic Acid).
Directions
Stovetop Instructions: Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepot on medium-high. Submerge 1 bag of rice; boil uncovered 10 minutes. Remove bag from water and let stand to drain. Cut bag open and empty rice into serving dish. Note: To cook multiple bags of rice, use 12 cups water in large saucepot and submerge 2-4 bags of rice at a time. Microwave Instructions: Place 4 cups water in large microwave-safe bowl. Submerge 1 bag of rice in water. Microwave (microwaves vary; adjust times as needed) on high for 10 minutes. Remove bag from water and let stand to drain. Cut bag open and empty rice into serving dish. Note: It is not recommended to cook multiple bags of rice at a time in microwave; use stovetop instructions instead. One bag makes about 2 cups cooked rice. Publix boil-in-bag rice can stand in hot water, with heat off, up to 30 minutes after cooking.
Stir cooked rice into scrambled eggs. Simmer cooked rice with additional milk and sugar for a simple rice pudding.
