Instructions for use:
1. Insert the thermometer at least 1 inch into the thickest part of the meat or poultry so that the tip is slightly past the center, but is not in contact with the bone or the gristle.
2. Remove thermometer and return meat or poultry to oven until desired internal temperature is reached (see chart below).
Caution:
If more cooking time is needed, be sure to take out thermometer before placing meat or poultry back into oven. The high heat of cooking will damage the lens covering the temperature dial. Check doneness again at desired intervals.
Cleaning and care:
Use a damp cloth to wipe stem clean with warm, soapy water. Do not immerse the thermometer in water.

Beef, pork, veal, lamb - 160 degrees F.
Turkey, chicken - 165 degrees F.
Fresh beef, pork, veal, lamb - 145 degrees F with a 3 minute rest time.

Poultry parts - 165 degrees F.
Duck & goose - 165 degrees F.
Stuffing (cooked alone or in bird) - 165 degrees F.
Ham:
Fresh (raw) - 160 degrees F.
Pre-cooked (to reheat) - 140 degrees F.
Eggs:
Egg dishes - cook until yolk & white are firm 160 degrees F.
Seafood:
Fin fish - 145 degrees F or flesh is opaque and separates easily with fork.
Shrimp, lobster, & crabs - flesh pearly & opaque.
Clams, oysters & mussels - shells open during cooking.
Scallops - milky white or opaque & firm.
Leftovers & casseroles - 165 degrees F.

With an optional Instacart+ membership, you can get $0 delivery fee on every order over $35 and lower service fees too.
Instacart pickup cost:
- There may be a "pickup fee" (equivalent to a delivery fee for pickup orders) on your pick up order that is typically $1.99 for non-Instacart+ members. Instacart+ membership waives this like it would a delivery fee.
- Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.

You can set item and delivery instructions in advance, as well as chat directly with your shopper while they shop and deliver your items. You can tell the shopper to:
- Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
