We cooked up a super tasty meatless burger and it caught the attention of both vegetarians and meat lovers. We never imagined our Walnut Burger would travel beyond the doors of the Historic Trempealeau Hotel, but before we knew it, people were going nuts over it. Our kids vividly recall the good ol' days at the restaurant: Pushing out burgers with the antique wooden patty press, the infectious aroma of burgers frying on the grill or Walnut Balls baking in the oven. Walnuts, Organic Breadcrumbs (Organic Wheat Flour, Sea Salt, Organic Cane Sugar, Yeast), Organic Eggs, Onions, Mozzarella Cheese (Pasteurized Part-Skim Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Plant-Based Enzymes, Powdered Cellulose and Dextrose), Cheddar Cheese (Cultured Pasteurized Milk, Salt, Plant-Based Enzymes, Artificial Color, and Potato Starch), 100% Pure High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Organic Tamari (Water, Organic Soybeans, Salt, Organic Alcohol), Water, Organic Garlic (Organic Garlic, Water, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum), and Spices.
Directions
How to Prepare: Walnut Burger: Place a frozen Walnut Burger on a heated nonstick pan or slightly oiled skillet (we love coconut or olive oil). Allow the patty to cook until you see the cheese bubbling; then, flip to brown the other side. Serve nestled inside your favorite bun, roll or bread and dress it up with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce or whatever your heart desires. We also love to top our favorite salads with a Walnut Burger for an extra protein punch. Walnut Balls: Thaw a 4-pack of Walnut Burgers. Cut each patty into thirds, roll the thirds into balls, and bake them on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.
Keep frozen.
