Introducing a New Food: To prevent a digestive upset, it is best to acclimate your pet bird to the new food over a 10-day period. The first three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 current food and 1/4 Encore Classic Parakeet Food. The next three days, feed 1/2 current food and 1/2 Encore Classic Parakeet Food. The last three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 Encore Classic Parakeet Food and 1/4 of the current diet mixture. After 10 days you can supply only Encore Classic Parakeet Food to your parakeet as its main diet. For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry area before and after opening. Refrigerate for extended storage.
