Excellent source of fiber. Heart healthy. Resealable to keep amaranth fresh. Once a staple grain of the ancient Aztecs, amaranth production was outlawed by the Spanish Conquistadors because of its spiritual significance - but it managed to survive in the form of a weed. If only our other weeds were so useful! Naturally gluten-free, amaranth is a true protein powerhouse, has been noted for its cholesterol-lowering properties, and even contains calcium, potassium, and vitamin C! Our amaranth cooks easily, and its peppery taste and crunchy texture make it perfect in breads and muffins, sprinkled on soups and salads, or served as its own meal - like quinoa, rice or pasta. It can even be popped like tiny popcorn kernels for a delicious, nutritious snack! Simple, healthy, delicious - and easy to prepare! Thanks to Nature's Earthly Choice, it's always easy to bring the best of mother nature to your table. Get recipe ideas at www.earthlychoice.com. www.earthlychoice.com.
