Days to Emerge: 5-10 days. Seed Depth: 1/8 inch. Seed Spacing: A group of 3 seeds every 10 inches. Row Spacing: 12 inches. Thinning: When 1/2 inch tall, thin to 1 every 10 inches. When to Sow Outside: Recommended. 2 to 4 weeks before average last frost and when soil temperature is at least 40 degrees F, ideally 60-70 degrees F. Successive Sowings: Every 3 weeks until 2 weeks before the first fall frost. If using winter row covers, you can extend your season 2 to 4 weeks after first fall frost. In USDA zone 8 or warmer, also sow in fall for winter harvest. When to Start Inside: 4 to 6 weeks before average last frost, and in summer when soil temperatures are too warm (above 80 degrees F) to germinate lettuce seed. In summer's heat, grow in the afternoon shade of other crops.

You can set item and delivery instructions in advance, as well as chat directly with your shopper while they shop and deliver your items. You can tell the shopper to:
- Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
